A 23-year-old Reddit user sought validation from Reddit after leaving her family home without notifying anyone following an altercation with her father.

She juggles two jobs while pursuing her postgraduate studies, but she still helps in cleaning at home.

Am I The A-Hole community made it clear what she did.

This is what occurred to this one Redditor, except the whole family was not happy about it

I am living with my parents. I work as an intern in a company while going to school part-time. My graduation in June has made me apply for jobs so that I move out finally.

My sister on the other hand is at home but doing online schooling without any job, even though I try to help with housework when I can. This is always not possible due to my early mornings and late nights.

When I came back last week, there was a dishwasher containing clean dishes so I told myself that I would take a quick shower and then empty it; however, before doing this, my dad started talking about how lazy I was around the house and how my sister did most of everything, so I explained I have helped in some things and they just never saw me doing anything, After which he asked for an example of what I’d done lately.

I mentioned taking out the garbage the previous night. The conversation escalated into him telling me that arguing further because he could easily kick me out to be homeless.

I gave my ok and went up the stairs, I packed my stuff before morning while everyone was asleep, left, and had been sleeping in my car for a week.

Later that day, after leaving, my parents called me and texted me asking where I was when I did not come home at the time I was supposed to.

I didn’t reply; instead, I blocked all their numbers and social media so they couldn’t reach me since then.

They’ve been calling and texting my friends wanting to know where I am but none of them know about it thus some of them sent me some confusing messages asking. They are asking why my parents are wondering where am I and what is happening to me if everything is fine.

What happened?

When he asked how this started, she later informed her best friend that she had run away from home and would be safe until her father let him know she was fine but wouldn’t like any further communication from them anymore.

They have been pleading with my friend to tell them where I am, and they want her to ask me if I can let them speak to me.

Yesterday I went over to my friend’s place and she said that what did was extremely terrible, so I needed to talk to them but I explained that they were threatening homelessness for me so I left without their permission however she insists that it’s wrong to make people worry about my safety although all the same thing is that they wanted me gone and so I went away from home. AITA for leaving and refusing communication?

The 23-year-old tried to explain herself but he told her to shut up so she quietly left early one morning without saying goodbye. When this happened, her folks went haywire and pleaded with their daughter to return; nevertheless, she refused them and stayed in a car for seven days.

Subsequently, she blocked all connections with relatives including friends because they felt uncomfortable being around them anymore.

One friend said it was terrible that she left like that but she didn’t feel safe at home anymore; however, deep down inside Maria believed this would benefit his father actually if anything went wrong there.
